Uncle Choo was an unorthodox gem of a soccer coach. While battling the chronic sufferings of diabetes, he returned to the Singapore football scene in 1977 for a last-ditched attempt at restoring our national pride - by winning back the Malaysia Cup.
Armed with skillful players like Quah Kim Song, Rajagopal, Samad, Mat Noh and Dollah Kassim, Uncle Choo sets out on an impossible mission to achieve football's greatest honour - an honour that many of his fellow countrymen never thought Singapore was capable of. Despite the odds, he had single-handedly transformed the team and ignited the hearts and emotions of the football fans that filled the National Stadium to full house crowd of 70,000 - a feat still unmatched to this very day.
