The highlight of the ‘double clearance’ was the annual warehouse sale at the SEC Headquarters which drew a huge crowd of over 10,000 shoppers who seized the opportunity to purchase a wide array of electrical appliances at knock-down prices during this 3-day bonanza.
The Sales and Marketing Director of SEC explains, ‘The response was so overwhelming that we recorded a sales of over RM1 million in 3 days, a 100% increase from the previous year!’ ‘The visual approach for the event is direct and easy to understand as we wanted to capture the attention of the consumers at the very first contact’, adds Ian Lai, Director of Creative Services, AdWOW!
Other highlights include the ‘SEC Voice WorldCard member’s Fastrack Offer’, ‘32-inch LCD TV Giveaway’, ‘Spend & Redeem Free Gifts’, and ‘Free Hotel Acommodation’ for LCD & Plasma TV buyers’ promotions. Items such as LCD TVs, DVD Players, Compo Sets and Microwave Ovens were selling like ‘hot cakes’.
To the delight of bargain-hunters at the event, SEC Electricare had ‘Happy Hours’ slotted throughout the event with over 500 items offered at unbelievable prices. These included the RM10 4GB flash drives and LCD TVs at an 80% discount. These items were snapped up within minutes with some shoppers even opting to keep vigil for the bargains over the 3-day period.
With the overwhelming response received, SEC will strive to repay the faith of its customers and come up with even more exciting promotions in the near future.
